I don’t generally talk about the politics of other countries if I can help it. I don’t live there, I don’t vote there, and I don’t really understand their systems of government well enough to really comment on what is and isn’t permissible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But I will talk about what’s right and wrong, and gun control is invariably wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UK has fully embraced it, and proponents from both sides of the Atlantic love to tell us how great it’s working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that’s true, though, why was there a bag of guns found on a street in Glasgow?<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A BAG full of guns has been discovered on a Glasgow street. The weapons haul was found on Tynecastle Street in the east end<\/a> last night. Firearms cops<\/a> were scrambled to the scene after the alarm was raised. Gun cops safely removed the weapons from the scene. We still don’t have many details about what happened the first time the Trump administration tried to deliver small arms to resistance groups inside Iran earlier this year, other than the president’s comments that the guns never got to where they were going. Still, President Trump appears to be willing to give it another go, based on remarks he made to Salem Media’s Hugh Hewitt on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anti-gunners in Minnesota haven’t gotten the message. Their previous attempts at pushing their gun control agenda have come up short despite the full court press from activists and their media buddies to try and guilt-trip them into passing anti-gun measures, so they’re trying yet again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This time, though, they’re not rolling out a series of bills that have to be voted on, like what Virginia did. No, this time they’re going whole hog, because if individual measures can’t survive, putting them all in one bill is sure to garner support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, that’s what the National Association for Gun Rights called them out for doing.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) used an X post Monday to warn Minnesotans that Democrat lawmakers are trying to push through a gun ban via SF 4067.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SF 4067 is titled the Omnibus Firearms Bill<\/a>, and the Minnesota Senate is readying a vote on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virginia Governor Gets Bad News on Background Check Bill<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Since the Virginia General Assembly approved a revised version of the bill last week, there’s been a whole lot of confusion about Virginia’s HB 1525, which raises the age to purchase handguns from 18 to 21 and requires the Virginia State Police to resume conducting background checks on private sales. Governor Abigail Spanberger’s amended version contained language that declared the act an emergency, which would allow it to take effect immediately, but the legislature did not approve the changes with a 4\/5ths vote, which is supposedly what’s required in order for that “emergency” provision to be adopted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Virginia legislative website lists the effective date for HB 1525 as July 1, but the Virginia State Police put out a notice on Tuesday that declared the law is already in effect. That was the good news for Spanberger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bad news? The VSP won’t be resuming background checks on private sales of firearms anytime soon\u2026 at least not without a court order. Read more here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
